Chamberlain International School

Courses

Chamberlain serves students from a wide geographic area. We offer treatment for students ages 11-20 in either a day or a residential setting, who have difficulties that effect learning and behavior. We are a private non-profit, coeducational, 766-approved residential school and licensed by the Office for Children and the Massachusetts Department of Education.

Successes - Chamberlain students achieve success for themselves at home, in school, and in life with our highly structured program and coordinated teaching, residential care, and counseling.

Consistent Leadership - Since 1976, when they started Chamberlain Center, Inc., the original founders have guided the development, philosophy, and demonstrated their dedication to the needs of emotionally troubled students.

Chamberlain’s students are offered the unique opportunity to travel not only to Holland, but Belgium and Germany as well. In keeping with Chamberlain School’s travel program, classroom studies precede each overseas departure. Students learn about art, science, history, culture, and current events. Specifics include the life and work of Van Gogh and Rembrandt, the evolution of wind power, the science behind the dike and canal system, and of course, World War II and the story of Anne Frank. All this and more allows each student to actively make educational connections when they finally visit such places as the Jewish Historical Museum and the home of Anne Frank, the Van Gogh Museum, the Peace Palace, and the Kinderdijk windmills. Because the Netherlands is such a small country, travel to the neighboring countries of Germany and Belgium is all in a day’s trip. Students are excited to go on canal boat tours, walk the storied halls of medieval castles, sample local cuisine and discover idiosyncrasies that make one country different from another.

Academics at Chamberlain are designed to challenge students to discover and meet their full educational potential in a supportive creative, progressive manner.  Your student's educational success is our focus. High quality education and specialized academic programming is tailored to the specific needs of each student.

With a teacher to student ratio of 1:4, students benefit from Chamberlain's small classes with individualized attention from devoted teachers and comprehensive curriculum to build classroom skills and foster social growth.
